PURPOSE:To prevent a dynamic damper from lowering its vibration efficiency due to variations in temperature, by providing a temperature sustaining devide for sustaining, at a predetermined value, the temperature of a resilient member in the dynamic damper having a weight attached to a vibration item in an engine through the intermediary of a resilient member. CONSTITUTION:A dynamic damper 3 composed of a resilient member 5 and a weight 6 attached to an engine exhaust pipe 2. A current passing through a heater wire 10 which is embeded in the resilient member 5, is controlled by a control circuit 12 in accordance with a signal from a temperature sensor 11 so that the temperature of the resilient member 5 is sustained at a predetermined value. With this arrangement the resonant frequency of the dynamic damper 3 is restrained from being changed depending upon the temperature of the damper, thereby the efficiency of vibration is prevented from lowering. |
