PURPOSE:To reduce the load of an oil separator, by providing a floated oily component recovery apparatus wherein a water inspection chamber is connected to a separated water tank through a pipe and a bilge oil tank is connected to the upper part of a separation chamber through a pipe. CONSTITUTION:The moisture-containing highly viscous sludge component among oily components fallen in an oily component separation chamber 6 is accumulated to the lower part of said separation chamber 6 but the oily component low in viscosity is flowed into a bilge oil tank 32 through the pipe 33 communicated with a side wall 31 because of its high flowability. The highly viscous moisture- containing sludge component accumulated in the lower part of said separation chamber 6 is heated by a heater 38 to be separated into an oily component and water while only water with high specific gravity is fallen onto a receiving tray 36 through a recovery pipe 35 by opening a valve 34. If it is visually confirmed that only water is present on said receiving tray 36, said water is again recirculated to the bilge layer 21 in an engine room through a recovery pipe 37.
