发明名称 METHOD FOR OBTAINING GLYCOLALDEHYDE
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain easily the titled compound useful as a synthetic intermediate for various chemical products such as amino acids, etc. easily in high purity, by bringing a dioxane derivative into contact with an acid. CONSTITUTION:A dioxane derivative of formula I (R<1> and R<2> are H or 1-10C hydrocarbon residue; R is H or 1-15C aliphatic or aromatic residue) as a raw material is brought into contact with an acid to give the titled compound of formula II. An inorganic acid, e.g. hydrochloric acid, an organic carboxylic acid, e.g. formic acid, an organic sulfonic acid, e.g. benzenesulfonic acid, an acidic ion exchange resin, etc. may be used as the acid. The above-mentioned acid decomposition is carried out by adding the acid to a solution or dispersion of the dioxane derivative of formula I , and allowing the solution or dispersion to stand at about 0-100 deg.C or stirring the solution or dispersion. The dioxane derivative of formula I can be easily synthesized by reacting a solution containing a glycolaldehyde of formula II with an amine of formula III.
