PURPOSE:To improve directional stabilization ever so better, by releasing the existing antiskid control front wheels, to begin with, then rear wheels in order, at a time when the antiskid control is released as a car speed comes down due to braking. CONSTITUTION:A device bearing the above caption feeds a hydraulic fluid out of a master cylinder 2 to each of wheel cylinders 6-9 via braking hydraulic control valve units 3, 4 and 5 at both front- and rear-wheel sides, while each of these units 3 and 4 controls them by an electronic controller 14 on the basis of each output signal out of car speed sensors 10-12 and a brake operation switch BSW. In this case, the controller 14 judges on whether the increase or decrease of brake fluid pressure is required or not from an estimated car speed to be calculated out of a wheel revolving speed or acceleration of the wheel revolving speed and thereby controls these units 3-5. And, a control command is made so as to be stopped when the estimated car speed at the front wheel side comes to less than a first value as well as when that at the rear wheel side comes to less than a second value, respectively, during continuation of brake operation. |
