PURPOSE:To permit an easy perception of printing condition of a proofreading by obtaining print control data through measurement of printed print control scales with a detection means. CONSTITUTION:A mount 7 moves while printing patterns 10 on a printing paper 3 and print control scales 11 are being printed, and these scales 11 are measured by a detection means 13. The print control data are multiplied within a correction circuit 39 by correction coefficient of a correction coefficient storage circuit 38, and calibrated print control data are compared within a comparison computing circuit 40 with the standard density data of 30% dot pattern, 70% dot pattern and 100% dot pattern that are stored in a standard printing density data storage device, and the results of computation are displayed by output device 42 such as CRT displays, printers and etc. The operators of a proofreading press can take appropriate actions by looking at the above output results. |
