PURPOSE:To form transmission data easily in a digital picture transmission system by specifying an optional picture area executing data processing for replacing picture data in said optional picture area by another optional picture data efficiently for a short period. CONSTITUTION:Input color picture data is written in the 1st frame memory and stored as original picture data at first. In this case, the input color picture data can be selected as any one of an NTSC color television signal or an RGB color signal. The original picture data stored in the 1st frame memory 41 is converted into black-and-white picture data by an RGB/Y converter 68 and stored also in the 4th frame memory 44. Then, the color processing of color picture data is executed on the basis of picture data stored in the 1st and 4th frame memory 41, 44 and deletion processing of redundant data is executed. Consequently, picture data proper to the final conversion into geometric command data is automatically formed without lossing the features of the original picture. |
