PURPOSE:To simultaneously repair both electrodes in high accuracy, by interposing a repair tool, in which tool main units having a reversed trapezoidal-shaped groove providing two tilt surfaces forming a file part are placed facing in opposite directions, between oppositely faced electrodes to be brought into contact with them and turned. CONSTITUTION:Upper and bottom electrode tips are simultaneously repaired by interposing a repair tool 28 between the both electrode tips 18a, 18b of a spot welding machine to be turned through a handle. The repair tool 28, equipping a longitudinal groove 30 respectively facing to each other while equipping in each groove a bottom part 32 having a protrusive stripe 36 and tilt surfaces 34, provides a file part in the tilt surfaces 34. A flat surface 26 and tapered parts 24 in the tips 18a, 18b are cut to be repaired at a stroke by horizontally turning the tool 28. |
