Level dyeing of polyester and cellulose triacetate materials in the aq. extn. process above 100 degrees C is carried out with a liquor contg. >=2(3)(trichromic) migrating disperse dyestuffs with a diffusion coefft. Do of 2-10 (2.5-10) x 10-10 cm2/s at 130 degrees C, a distribution coefft. K of 20-500 (60-350) 1/kg at. 130 degrees C and a migration half life t/2 of 50 (under 30) min, together with other additives. The liquor is heated to an uncontrolled dyeing temp. the dyeing pref. taking place at 110-140 degrees C under pressure. The pref. disperse dyestuffs are (I), (II), (III) or CI Disperse Blue 26(IV) and CI Disperse Blue 95(V), for which the Do, K and t/2 values are (I) 6.0x10-10, 193, 17 (II) 3.7 x 10-10, 152, 35; (III) 5.0 x 10-10, 81, 25; (IV) and 4.8 x 10-10, 315, 22. Tiresome calculations, e.g. of the heating phase and circulation rate, are unnecessary.
