<p>PURPOSE:To vent gas effectively from fluid thus to improve the pump efficiency in a reciprocal pump having a pump chamber to be defined by a diaphragm, by arranging a gas vent chamber in the upstream of a suction valve provided in the suction side path. CONSTITUTION:Hydraulic drive diaphragm pump will apply pulsating dynamic pressure onto a diaphragm 14 under the function of driving oil filled in pressure replacing chamber 12 by reciprocating main plunger 10 through crank mechanism to vary the volume of pump chamber 16 thus to perform pumping operation. Here, a fluid suction path 22 is formed above a diaphragm head 20 forming a pump chamber 16 and communicated through a ball valve constituting a suction valve 26 to a suction tube 30 connectable to the outside. A gas vent chamber 34 is formed above said valve 26 to fill the chamber 34 with the handling liquid upto predetermined level at any time thus to prevent empty suction.</p> |
