ROLLING METHOD OF ENDLESS METALLIC BELT

PURPOSE:To improve productivity and to reduce an equipment cost by disposing a tension roll which applies tensile force on a blank material to a large-diameter work roll, providing a non-driven small-diameter work roll and executing turning rolling. CONSTITUTION:The tension roll 3 is disposed to the large-diameter work roll 2 which is supported at one end to a roll housing 1 apart at a required space from said work roll. A blank material 4 for an endless metallic belt is set between the roll 2 and the roll 3 and tension is applied on the material 4 via the roll 3. The small-diameter work roll 10 is supported by non-driven backup roll groups 5-9. The roll 2 is driven and the turning rolling is executed. A piece of the roll 2 is simply required in this method and since the setting and removing of the belt 4 are easy, the productivity of rolling is improved and the equipment cost is reduced.
