PURPOSE:To program research and reproduce rapidly, easily and securely a necessary part over a long time of a magnetic tape which is used in a reciprocating manner by recording a time code to a track of the magnetic tape corresponding in accordance with a travelling direction. CONSTITUTION:When a tape 3 is made to travel in the arrow B direction, etc., and a B direction surface layer recording pattern 19 is recorded, the tape 3 is made to travel in the reverse direction against the arrow B direction, and when an A direction deep layer recording pattern 17 is recorded, a time code is recorded to a time code track 100b different from a track 100a in which the time code is recorded. By the time code recorded by the system, a necessary part over a long time of a magnetic tape used in a reciprocating manner can be program researched and reproduced rapidly, easily and securely. |
