In a method for filling tankers having at least two filling nozzles with pourable bulk material from a silo, provision is made for generation inside the tanker of a positively guided flow of a gaseous medium which is directed in the longitudinal direction of the tanker. The gaseous medium is introduced into the tanker via one of the filling nozzles, preferably via the same nozzle as the bulk material, and a reduced pressure is applied to a second filling nozzle. As a rule, air is used as the gaseous medium.
