PURPOSE:To increase rapidly the information storage density in response to the number of layers of an optomagnetic recording layer by laminating plural optomagnetic recording layers via a nonmagnetic layer and recording respectively information on the optomagnetic recording layer. CONSTITUTION:The nonmagnetic layer 14, the 1st magnetic recording layer 16, a nonmagnetic intermediate layer 18, the 2nd magnetic recording layer 20, and a reflecting layer 24 are laminated sequentially on one face of a transparent base 12 of an optomagnetic disc 10. The wavelength lambda1 of a laser light source 26 is 8,300Angstrom and the wavelength lambda2 of the laser light source 28 is 7,800Angstrom . A dichroic mirror 34 transmits a laser ray of wavelength lambda1 and reflects a laser ray of wavelength lambda2 to make a combined laser ray with wavelengths lambda1, lambda2 incident in the optomagnetic disc 10 through a half mirror 36 and an objective lens 38. |
