PURPOSE:To provide easy holding of part of stacked sheets with a clamp etc. by inserting a lever in a corner of the stacked sheets, turning up partially the uppermore lying sheets with a certain thickness, and by heaving the turned-up portion by means of propagating to both sheet ends. CONSTITUTION:A corner turnup tool 6 is actuated to make a lever 13 turn up corner 1A of sheets 3 in an appropriate amount, and a plough 30 of a second sheet end turnup tool 8 is inserted under the turned-up sheets 3 and, in this condition, moves from the corner 1A along the sheet end 1C till near the corner 1E. Thus the turnup at the corner 1A is propagated to the sheet end 1C, and now the corner 1E is also turned up. Then the lever 22 closet to the corers 1A, 1E moves from the stand-by position to the working position for insertion among the stacked sheets 1, and is inserted under turned-up sheets 3 at the corner for turning up the sheets 3 further. Then the adjacent turnup lever 22 moves to the working position to propagate the turnup of the sheets 3 to the center of sheet end, and then the last turnup lever 22 moves to the working position to propagate the turnup till the end of the sheet edge. Thus the sheets 3 in appropriate amount are turned up with their whole sheet edges 1B, 1D. |
