PURPOSE:To prevent the shaking of a car body due to lateral wind by detecting a lateral wind from difference in detected outputs of pressure sensors and switching the characteristic of a suspension. CONSTITUTION:A shock absorber 3 is provided on each of right and left front wheels 1 and rear wheels 2. An actuator 5 is installed on the top end part of the shock absorber 3, and is operated by a controller 6. The input side of the controller 6 is connected to pressure sensors 7, 8 installed on the right and left of the front end part of a car body. When the car body is subjected to a lateral wind while traveling on an express way, a difference is observed between the detected outputs of the pressure sensors 7, 8. Thereby, when the difference in detected outputs of the sensors 7, 8 is above a certain value, the controller 7 switches the actuator of a corresponding shock absorber 3, to prevent the shaking of the car body. |
