PURPOSE:To reduce substantially sizes of a frame distribution circuit and pulse train circuit by dividing a track number N for distributing a time width T which one channel code bit accounts for into a larger number S than the N at the time of recording data on a magnetic tape and assigning each T/S time as the time used for distribution of the channel code of one bit. CONSTITUTION:After data to be recorded is converted into the channel code bit by a pulse train circuit, it is stored in a RAM29. Where a real time width when the one channel code bit distributed to each track is recorded on a magnetic tape, and the number of distributed tracks are T and N, respectively, the time width T is at least divided into larger parts than the S, and the time width of each T/S is assigned as the access time when the channel code bit distributed to each track accesses from the RAM and the latch time to a flip- flop. The track address of a track address control circuit 30 is changed by the T/N time, and said circuit 30 goes around by the period T. |
