PURPOSE:To obtain a head having extremely high strength to machining and to improve remarkably the yield of production by providing glass packed notches to part of the sliding surface of a head and molding the apex part of a winding hole with glass. CONSTITUTION:Grooves 18 and 19 are worked to core halves 16 and 17 respectively and low melting glass is packed therein. The core halves are mated with each other via an SiO2 film and a low melting glass rod 20 is disposed into the apex part of the winding groove. The low melting glass 21, 22 packed into the grooves 18, 19 worked respectively to the core halves 16, 17 remelt each other to adhere both core halves 16, 17 and at the same time, the low melting glass rod melts as well and adheres the two core halves as low melting glass 23. The glass is therefore refilled in the defect part formed as a result of the movement of the glass during remelting of the glass 21 and 22 when the rod 20 is melted and since the glass is packed into the apex part, the generation of a crack is thoroughly eliminated even if the surface to slide with a tape is polished. |
