PURPOSE:To permit all operations to be made in front by positioning the passing port of recording papers and the exchange window of operating panels and IDF cassettes on the front side. CONSTITUTION: An operating panel 20B and a recording paper entrance 90 are provided on the front side. The panel 20B is set rotatably in the direction of (g) on the supporting point 91 of a thermal transfer printer 20A, and thereby IDF exchange window 21 is exposed. A drive controller 100 serves as an electric unit to control the action of the printer, and a sensor 95 detects the recording paper to be inserted into the entrance 90. When a recording paper is inserted in the direction of (c) into the entrance 90, the tip of the paper is detected by the sensor 95 and paper feeding rollers 92 and 93 are turned. The paper is pulled into the printer, the thermal head 43 is fallen down, and printing is started. When the printing is ended, the rollers 92 and 93 are reversely turned to discharge the paper in the direction of (c'). |
