PURPOSE:To provide a PVC compsn. which gives moldings having excellent resistance to weather and impact, by grafting a graft monomer onto a rubbery polymer in two stages and then blending the resulting graft polymer with PVC. CONSTITUTION:50-15pts. (by weight; the same applies hereinbelow) graft monomer consisting of 30-100% methyl methacrylate and 70-0% monomer such as 1-8C alkyl acrylate is grafted onto 50-85pts. rubbery polymer composed of 0.01-5% polyfunctional crosslinking agent per 100% monomer component mainly composed of 2-8C alkyl acrylate in such a manner that 30-90% of the entire quantity of the graft monomer is graft-polynmerized in a first stage and the remainder of the monomer and 0.01-5% (based on the entire quantity of the graft monomer) crosslinking agent are graft-polymerized in a second stage, to obtain a graft copolymer having a specific viscosity (in a soln. of 0.1g of methyl ethyl ketone extract/100cc of acetone at 30 deg.C) of 0.6 or above. The titled compsn. is obtd. by blending 3-50pts. said graft copolymer with 97-50pts. PVC.
