Hydroabsorbent resin based on acrylic acid and dialkylaminoalkyl acrylate. It comprises from 40 to 60% moles of acrylic acid, optionally at least partially salified, and from 60 to 40% moles of at least one dialkylaminoalkyl acrylate, optionally at least partially salified or quaternized. The resin is produced by copolymerization, either in aqueous solution or in reverse emulsion, in the presence of at least one free radical generator. Application to the obtention of articles capable of absorbing aqueous fluids.
