PURPOSE:To prevent the buckling of the bend, etc. of a long-sized body and the damages of a device by providing the means to generate the pulse having the period corresponding to the movement of the long-sized body at the inlet and outlet sides of a continuous treating device and by outputting an alarm or control signal based on the decision with deciding the time difference of each means. CONSTITUTION:The main circuit is reset in case of the mutual time difference between the output pulse Ba of the first encorder 13a of the inlet side and the output pulse Bb of the second encorder 13b of the outlet side being within the allowable time and in case of exceeding the allowable time it is feared to cause a buckling because of the movement of the work 12 of the outlet side being less than the movement of the work 12 at the inlet side and an alarm signal or control signal is outputted with making a signal I at H level.
