PURPOSE:To make double-side copying possible without using any special hardware, such as inverting device, etc., band without troubling a person, by providing a bit map memory for temporarily storing picture data, external memory, work memory for editing data, etc. CONSTITUTION:When the designation from an operation panel 2 is the double- side copying mode, only pictures of odd-numbered pages of originals set in a scanner 9 are transferred to a bit map memory 7 and, at the same time, all picture data are accumulated in a disk 11. Then the picture data are read out from the bit map memory 7 and outputted to a printer 5. Printed paper are set in a paper feeding tray by hand. On the other hand, a CPU1 sets dimensions of a blank space and binding margin inputted from the operation panel 2 in the bit map memory 7 and only picture data of even-numbered pages out of the picture data read out into a work memory 6 are successively copied on paper set in the paper feeding tray. |
