MAGNETIC HEAD

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve both the wear resistance and the corrosion resistance by using an amorphous alloy at a part near the rubbing face of a recording medium with an amorphous magnetic alloy used to a rear core and forming the most of said rubbing face with a nonmagnetic substrate having wear resistance. CONSTITUTION:A nonmagnetic substrate 4 is made of Zn ferrite and a 'Permalloy(R)' thin plate is adhered on the substrate 4 as a crystalline magnetic alloy 6. An amorphous alloy film 7 is formed on the thin plate and a protecting plate 9 of Zn ferrite is provided on the film 7. Such a lamination matter is cut as shown by the 2-dot chain lines to obtain magnetic head core halves 10 and 10'. The gap faces 11 and 11' of the core halves 10 and 10' are ground and polished for formation of a winding window groove 12 and an adhesion groove 13. Then the gap material SiO2 is coated on the gap faces by a sputtering process. Both core halves are butted to each other via the gap material and an adhesive 14 is filled into the winding window part and the groove 13. Thus a magnetic head 15 is obtained.
