The invention relates to a vehicle wheel with pneumatic tyres, having a rigid emergency running ring which is located inside the tyre and is supported via rubber bedding on the rim. In order to increase the elastic deformability of the emergency running ring, according to the invention the side faces of the elastic bedding are arranged at a distance from the tyre beads. Furthermore, the emergency running ring projects over the two edges of the rubber bedding.
