The basic idea is to produce solid masses from extremely fine sands or other unusable sands. The solid masses of sand are then to be used as aggregate for concrete manufacture. In this case, the solid masses of sand replace gravel or chippings. As a result, the availability of these raw materials is stretched out. Gravel deposits are anyway smaller and will be fully exploited within the foreseeable future.
