PURPOSE:To control freely the connection or disconnection of playing without being controlled by a reset code by providing a function controlling a melody play through a key input. CONSTITUTION:Switches 4 and 5 are connected to a key switch interface circuit 3, and used as a melody non-stop mode key and a melody stop mode key, respectively. Each program executed by a processor 1 is stored in a memory device 6 to which an area storing a reception code and a melody non-stop mode flag, etc., are allocated. On the basis of melody data received from the processor 1, a melody control circuit 7 generates an audio signal, and simultaneously issues an interruption request to the processor 1 at every certain period. When the processor 1 receives the interruption request of the melody control circuit, it calls a melody control program, and transfers melody data or a stop command, which is necessary in the next operation, to the melody control circuit.
