PURPOSE:To execute easily the correspondence of an original sentence and a translated sentence by displaying translated sentence by the shape of a frame (character, image and graph) having the same style as that of the original sentence and displaying simultaneously both sentences on a displaying screen. CONSTITUTION:First, a keyboard 16 is operated and a chapter, page and the frame (single or combination of character, image and graph) of the original sentence are defined. An editor 12, in accordance with this, prepares a document file 34 concerning the document and registers it to a memory part 24. Next, when the translation executing key is operated, a translating part 10 successively translates the text at the frame unit in accordance with the priority order and returns it to the editor 12. The editor 12 accumulates this to a translated sentence temporary memory part 26 and thereafter, the editor stores it to the file 34. Thus, when indication is given from a keyboard 16, original sentence is displayed at the upper half of a displaying screen 20 and translated sentence is displayed at the lower half in accordance with the defined frame contents.
