PURPOSE:To provide a printing apparatus capable of certainly confirming the position to be printed in the next time by simple operation, constituted so that the movement of a printing head to the next printing position and the feeding of paper to the part above a ribbon guide are controlled when the indication of the confirmation of a printing apparatus is inputted. CONSTITUTION:When the confirmation key 193 and CTRL key 192 of a keyboard 19 are operated in such a state that a printing head 22 is stopped at a position P1, a carriage 20 is moved to the right side by a distance A to allow the printing head 22 to move to the right side by the distance A. A feed motor 24 is further operated to upward feed paper by a distance B and, by this method, the printing head 22 is moved from the position P1 to a position P2. In this case, the confirmation key 193 may be released from the operation state but it is necessary to hold the CRTL key 192 to the operation state. By this method, a printing position P3 can be certainly confirmed. If arrow keys 195-198 are operated in this state, the printing head 22 can be further moved to the left and right or paper can be fed up and down. |
