PURPOSE:To enable reuse through replacement of any one of the starting circuit or lamp upon fault by making such that two base pins will project to realize double pin type lamp when fixing the starting unit cover to the base. CONSTITUTION:A pair of stopping recesses 5, 5 are formed in the circumferential wall of base 2 of 4-pin type single base fluorescent lamp while a clearance recess 6 for fitting the top section of glow lamp 10 is formed in the center of bottom wall. The starting unit cover 7 is fixed dismountably to the base 2 and upon fixing of said cover 7, 4-pin type single base fluorescent lamp will become 2-pin type single base fluorescent lamp while upon removal of said cover 7 from 2-pin type single base fluorescent lamp, 4-pin type single base fluorescent lamp is realized. When it is required to replace the starting circuit or lamp while using 4-pin type single base fluorescent lamp as 2-pin type lamp, any one of the starting unit cover or the lamp may be replaced. |
