PURPOSE:To improve the usability of this kind of device by making voice input to a sentence preparing device by indirect inputting method from a sound recording means, such as cassette tape, etc., in addition to conventional direct inputting methods. CONSTITUTION:When voices recorded on a cassette tape 13 are inputted, the voices are reproduced by loading the tape 13 onto a cassette deck 2 after a switching unit 3 is set to the tape side. The reproduced voices are transmitted to a voice analyzing/separating section 4 through the switching unit 3 and AD converting section 11 in the form of electric signals. The voice analyzing/ separating section 4 performs spectrum analysis on the AD-converted voice signals and at the same time, cuts the voice signals into syllables by generating information of power and zero-crossing number, etc., necessary for separating voices into syllables. Each cut syllable is supplied to an identifying section 5 through an edition controlling section 9 and compared with the voice patterns of speakers previously registered in a voice registering section 12. After the comparison, the syllables are converted into KANA (Japanese syllabary) characters. In such a way, each syllable is successively converted into KANA characters and a KANA sentence corresponding to the inputted voices is formed. |
