The invention relates to a track in the form of box-elements for tower cranes. This track, of universal nature, may be laid on a solid support or on soft ground. The track is characterised in that it comprises identical box-elements, assembled by bolting. Each box-element comprises a strong rail of rectangular cross-section 1, welded onto a central web 2. The central web is framed by two symmetrical coverings 3. The box element is closed by a lower sole plate 4, the width of which depends on the configuration of the support or of the ground. The coverings are firmly attached to the central web via half-diaphragms 5, welded in an alternate position. The two tracks are held at the aligned separation by spacers fitted either at the end of the box-elements or in an intermediate position. <IMAGE>
