Prodn. of combustible prod. from slurry or manure - by (partial) drying and mixing with cellulose material

Slurry and/or manure originating from a sewage purificn. plant is processed to a combustible prod. by (a) (partly) dehydrating the slurry and/or manure, and (b) mixing with a cellulose fraction. The mixt. may be further dried at 80-120 deg.C, and opt. formed into briquets. The cellulose fraction includes wood, and is esp. wood (e.g. 50-30%), tobacco waste (eg. 0.1%), cotton waste (e.g. 0-1%), and/or cork waste (e.g. 0-1%), w.r.t. the wt. of the mixed prod.. A neutral combustible additive, e.g. polyvinyl alcohol or acetate, or molasses, may be added, and also an incombustible binder, esp. a resin e.g. CFA. A disinfectant, partic. paraformaldehyde, may be added to the slurry and/or manure. The heat needed for drying may be supplied by the prepd., combustible prod.
