PURPOSE:To obtain a pressure-proof cylindrical body which may be simply manufactured and may effect no excessive stress in its coupling section adapted to be coupled with a connecting pipe, by cross-winding a steel belt in plural layers on the outer peripheral surface of a welded laminated layer cylindrical body, and by fitting thereon an unwelded laminated layer cylindrical body having an unwelded circumferential joint seam. CONSTITUTION:An unwelded laminated layer cylindrical body 5 onto which a steel belt 5a is continuously and helically wound in plural layers, is arranged on the outer periphery of an inner cylindrical body 4 composed of a welded laminated layer cylindrical body 3 and an inner cylinder 1. This steel belt 5a on the unwelded laminated layer cylindrical body 5 is cross-wound so that the heroically winding direction of the steel belt 5a is different from each other between each adjacent layers, and each adjacent edges of the heroically wound steel belt 5a are not welded. Accordingly, the number of sections to be welded may be decreased to reduce the manufacturing cost thereof. Further, an axial deformation may be received only by the inner cylinder having thereon the welded steel belt, thereby it is possible to minimize deformations.
