USE:An intermediate for an isoquinoline derivative as a cardiac, etc. PREPARATION:Monoethylene ketal of 1,4-cyclohexanedione shown by the formula II is condensed with 2-, 3- or 4-bromopyridine in the presence of n- butyllithium, etc., to give a compound shown by the formula III, which is treated with thionyl chloride in pyridine, dehydrated and reduced with hydrogen in a mineral acid to give compound shown by the formula I. |
