PURPOSE:To decide easily an elapsed time when a moving object passes through a reference line from a prescribed time point, by providing a line sensor camera, a time data generating circuit, the first and the second converting means, a storage means, a selecting means, a read-out means, and a display means. CONSTITUTION:The titled device is provided with a line sensor camera, a time data generating circuit for starting a time counting operation, based on a start signal, and generating successively the time data corresponding to elapsed time after starting the time counting operation,l and the first converting means for converting successively an image output signal of the line sensor camera to picture element data and also superposing the time data onto the converted picture element data. Also, this device is provided with a storage means for storing successively the picture element data from the first converting means by a plural picture portion, a selecting means for selecting a desired picture, a read-out means for reading out successively the picture element data corresponding to the selected picture, the second converting means for converting the read-out picture element to a video signal, and a display means for displaying an image, based on the video signal from the second converting means. It this way, the elapsed time when a moving object passes through a reference line from a prescribed time point can be decided clearly at a glance on a display picture.
