In a pipe bending machine of the draw bending type and having a bending die (12) and a clamp (16) for clamping the pipe (1) to the bending die, means are provided (e.g. a stop 60) for limiting displacement of the clamp away from the bending die so that it is just sufficient for releasing the pipe after the bending die has been turned around its axis to form a bend. With this facility, a pipe may be bent to e.g. serpentine form as shown, without the adjacent run of pipe interfering with the displacements of the clamp. |
