A thin tissue section, supported on a substrate by a first pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, is transferred to a microscope slide which supports a second pressure-sensitive adhesive layer of polymerisable material, by bringing the tissue section into contact with the second adhesive layer to form a laminate, polymerising the second layer to form a positive bond between the tissue section and microscope slide, and then removing the substrate and first adhesive layer to expose the tissue section, now fixed to the microscope slide by the polymerised second adhesive layer. |
