PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator capable of detecting abnormality sufficiently, by eliminating inconvenience when pasting a strain gauge directly to a telescopic element.SOLUTION: An actuator includes a telescopic element 1 displacing telescopically in a predetermined direction, a displacement transmission mechanism 2 mounting the telescopic element 1 and transmitting the telescopic displacement thereof to a moving object, a strain gauge 3 provided at a part in the displacement transmission mechanism 2 where a strain incident to displacement of the telescopic element 1 is generated, and a drive unit 4 for telescoping the telescopic element 1. Telescopic motion of the telescopic element 1 is corrected based on the detection value of the strain gauge 3, and abnormality of the telescopic element 1 or the displacement transmission mechanism 2 is grasped based on the detection value of the strain gauge 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
