<p>PURPOSE:To improve the control accuracy and control response of a looper by detecting and storing the rates of eccentricity of stand rolls in front and rear stages and predicting and controlling the correction rates of the stand speeds in the front and rear stages in accordance with the stored values. CONSTITUTION:Load meters 12 and pulse oscillators 13 are respectively disposed to the front stage stand and rear stand stand 2, 3. The stands 2, 3 are rotated in the kiss roll state during non rolling. A control device 11 samples and reads in the load detected by the load meters 12 via the pulse oscillators 13 and stores the load by the rates of exccentricity of the rolls. The control device 11 calculates the fluctuation values of the speeds on the outlet side of the stand 2 and the inlet side of the tank 3 during rolling by using the stored values and predicts the correction rates of the speed of the respective stands. Since the speed control device 9 corrects the speeds of the stand rolls by the predicted values, the control accuracy and control response of the looper are improved.</p> |
