PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide more appropriate guidance display of degree of focus in accordance with an AF operating state.SOLUTION: A display control device includes: AF mode setting means for setting the device in a first AF mode for continuously performing autofocus (AF) operation; display control means configured to provide control to display a first display item indicating an AF position, or a position of an object to be focused on by AF, on a live view when the device is set in the first AF mode to conduct continuous AF; reception means configured to receive a halt instruction for halting the continuous AF while the device is set in the first AF mode to conduct continuous AF; and control means configured to provide control such that, when the continuous AF is halted in response to the receipt of the halt instruction by the reception means, a second display item that shows a degree of focus at a position corresponding to the AF position is displayed in place of the first display item.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
