The shearing device includes a pair of shearing blades (28) mounted on the base end sides of a pair of jaws (1) pivoted to a pair of main shafts. The blades are mounted in opposing relationship. A pair of crushing blades (25) are oppositely mounted on the leading end sides of the jaws. The crushing blades locally pinch and crush a workpiece (43) positioned between them during jaws' closing. Also, during such closing, the shearing blades shear off the crushed poritons (43m) of the workpiece.
