<p>PURPOSE:To secure a large brake ratio with a low brake force by turning a brake arm toward one of a pair of reel stands through a locking arm turning together with a transmission arm and selectively braking a supply side. CONSTITUTION:When a drive gear 6 is turned clockwise, a transmission gear 9 is turned counterclockwise, and the transmission arm 7 and the rocking arm 8 are turned toward the reel stand at the right side. Then the transmission gear 9 engages with the gear part 3 on the reel stand 1 at the right side to transmit the turning of the drive gear 6, and the reel stand 1 at the right side turns toward a tape winding direction. Accordingly the reel stand 2 at the left side turns toward the tape supply direction through a cassette tape if it is loaded. The brake arm 17 turns counterclockwise, reverse to the locking arm 8, and a brake gear 19 engages with the gear part 3 of the reel stand 2 at the left side. Simultaneously, since a brake gear 20 is kept away from the gear 3 of the reel stand 1 at the right side, the reel stand 2 at the left side is braked, and back tension is given to a tape during traveling, whereby excessive tensile force is not given to the tape.</p> |
