PURPOSE:To improve the fluidity of a molten metal and to increase the number of production cycles by setting the substantial thickness of a casting mold to a specific range in a method for casting a lead alloy by using the casting mold essentially formed of polytetrafluoroethylene. CONSTITUTION:The lead alloy is cast by using the casting mold formed by setting the substantial thickness of the casting mold essentially consisting of the polytetrafluoroethylene to a 2-4.5mm range. This method does not decrease the production speed, improves the fluidity of the molten metal and considerably decreases the frequencies for renewing the casting mold as compared to the conventional casting method. The working rate is thus increased and the productivity is improved by continuously operating the casting machine.
