PURPOSE:To enable a combustion burner to be used without circulating thermal medium by a method wherein a heat exchanger arranged in a combustion discharging gas passage is made of a spiral stainless steel pipe and a hot air preventive plate is installed above the heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION:A hot air preventive plate 4 is arranged above a heat exchanger 2 and combustion discharging gas 3 of hot temperature rising from a combustion burner 1a may easily be accumulated near the heat exchanger 2. The combustion discharged gas ascended may strike the hot air preventive plate 4 to generate a flow 14 expanding to a rightward and a leftward direction, respectively, and then right and left combustion discharged gas flows 13 and 14 are generated at the upper part and the lower part of a pipe of the heat exchanger 2 and so it is possible to make a wider thermal conductive area to be contacted with the heat flow. Further, in case that the heat exchanger is made in a spiral form, a space 15 is surely formed at a central part of the heat exchanger. However, the space 15 is closed with the hot air preventive plate 4, resulting in that the combustion discharged gas ascended may effectively be heat exchanged.
