PURPOSE:To simplify the fitting work of a guide shaft to a chassis base and to reduce the cost of a device by fitting the guide shaft for guiding a head carriage to the chassis base by a synthetic resin-made pressing member molded by outer molding. CONSTITUTION:The shaft part 53a of the pressing member 53 is outsert-molded so as to be optionally rotated around the chassis 1. A guide bar 52 is set up on a holding member 86 and a guide bar 53 is rotated to press the guide bar 52 by force generated on the tip part of the guide bar 53 due to distortion. The pressing member 53 is fixed by a screw 89. The height direction of the guide bar 52 is obtained by a holding member 86. The accuracy of a horizontal direction is obtained by a a projected edge 1b of an opening part 1a of the chassis 1. In the example, a '0' position stopper of the carriage 50 is also molded by the outsert molding and can be adjusted.
