PURPOSE:To provide the titled ink composition for identifying whether medical devices, etc., have been sterilized perfectly, comprising as the essential component, a specific styryl-based coloring matter. CONSTITUTION:The objective ink composition comprising (A) as the essential component, a styryl-based coloring matter of formula I [X is (substituted) pyridine, quinoline, isoquinoline, thiazole, oxazole, imidazole, or group formed by condensation of benzene ring or naphthalene ring therewith, R1 and R2 are each H or lower alkyl] [e.g. a compound of formula II or III (R1 and R2 are each H, methyl, ethyl, propyl, butyl, etc.)] and, pref. furthermore, (B) organic acid(s) such as phenol, benzoic acid or acetic acid. |
