PURPOSE:To obtain a rolling bearing excellent in sealing ability by pressing a pressed portion to push a circular portion in a shield groove with the axis of the shield aligned with the axis of the shield groove and caulking same. CONSTITUTION:A shield 31 is pushed in a shield groove 29, caulked, and fixed to an outer ring 23. The inner peripheral portion of the shield 31 has a gap with an inner ring 21. Before being fixed to the outer ring 23, the shield 31 has a circular portion 33, a supported portion 35 and a pressed portion 37. The outside cylindrical surface of the circular portion 33 is a conical inclined surface, and the maximum outside diameter of the circular portion 33 is a little larger than the inside diameter of a mouth portion 39 of the outer ring 23. When the pressed portion 37 of the shield 31 is pressed in the axial direction to press the supported portion 35 to the shield groove 29, the circular portion 33 is pressed by the mouth portion 39 to be elastically deformed, and when it is further pressed in the axial direction, the circular portion 33 is pushed in the shield groove 29. |
