PURPOSE:To remove an air bubble and to remove an obstacle without wasting the ink in injecting the ink drop by a system wherein a recording head and a lid are fitted together as necessary to circulate the ink at the position close to the nozzle. CONSTITUTION:In generating an air bubble in the head 11, an elastic element 30 is compressed to close mechanically a mechanical valve 31, while the pressure within a pump 23 is increased to close the movable valve 32. The ink filled in the pump 23 is conveyed to a ink reservoir 36 by passing through a supply tube 39, the head 11, a nozzle 16, a lid 20 having a hole 21, an ink tube 24 and a filter 22, simultaneously the air bubble contained in the ink being removed by conveying with the ink. Next, the pressure applied to the element 30 is released to decrease the pressure applied to the pump 23, simultaneously the valves 31, 32 are opened to recover the ink contained in the reservoir 36 into the pump 23 by passing through the valve 31. |
