PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition excellent in mechanical properties, abrasion resistance, heat resistance and moldability and suitable as, e.g., a material for footgear or for modifying plastics, by mixing a specified vinyl aromatic compound/conjugated diene block copolymer with 1,2-polybutadiene. CONSTITUTION:A vinyl aromatic compound (a) such as (alpha-methyl)-styrene is block-copolymerized with a conjugated diene compound (b) such as butadiene, and the block copolymer is hydrogenated to obtain a vinyl aromatic compound/ conjugated diene block copolymer (A) which has a content of combined component (a) of 10-90wt% and in which at least 60% of the conjugated diene blocks are hydrogenated. 5-95wt% component A is mixed with 95-5wt% 1,2- polybutadiene having a 1,2-bond content >=70%, a crystallinity of 5-40% and an intrinsic viscosity (in toluene at 30 deg.C) >=0.5dl/g and, optionally, a thermoplastic resin such as PS resin, rubber such as SBR and additives (C) such as a plasticizer and a filler.
