PURPOSE:To enable an operator to inspect whether the meaning of a translated objective language sentence coincides with that of an inputted original sentence of not by displaying the inputted original sentence, the translated objective language sentence and a reversely translated original sentence. CONSTITUTION:A Japanese original sentence, e.g., to be translated is inputted from an input part 2. The inputted Japanese original sentence is displayed on a CRT of a display part 8 and then translated into the objective langualte, e.g., English, by a translating part 4 and the translated sentence is displayed on the display part 8. Then, the English sentence is reversely translated into the Japanese sentence and displayed on the display part 8. The operator compares and inspects the Japanese original sentence, the English sentence and the reversely translated Japanese original sentence displayed on the display part 8 respectively to decide whether the translated English sentence is correct or not, and when correction is unnecessary, these three sentences are printed out from an output part 12. When correction is required for the reversely translated Japanese sentence, the English sentence or the Japanese original sentence, the correction is executed, and after deciding he coincidence of said three sentences, these sentences are printed out.
